The team behind Retreat Golden
Golden resident, passionate cross country skier and trail runner, Magi Scallion is the beating heart of Retreat Golden. Magi has competed internationally in both cross country skiing and trail running and now shares her love of the sports and seasons by coaching adults and organizing events.
"I love cross country skiing so much - it's the perfect seasonal antidote for trail running as well as the most restorative full-body exercise out there. Sharing this love, and the secrets of efficiency I've learned over the years, is something I will never get tired of. I simply cannot say no to helping adults learn how to ski ... or ski better. It's beautiful."
In the transition from international-level sport to work-life balance, Magi has learned how to adjust expectations, be efficient in time and movement, and set bite-sized daily goals. Magi shares these learnings as well as the beauty of cross country ski movement with friends and clients alike.
